Silk Embroidery Oriental Kimono Sleeves with Frogs or Toads
This exceptional piece of oriental silk embroidery was probably a pair of kimono sleeves which have been sewn together, most likely for the tourist trade. They are circa the first quarter of the 20th century. The embroidery is superb and of the finest detail and includes frogs or toads. The piece measures approximately 14” x 23” and came out of an estate in Syracuse, New York.
